Photo Students in Competa!

Photography internship in Andalusia! In March, the last year of the LIK training in photography, film and media design was on a photography internship not far from Malaga, and in November the new class will be back to take photos in the autumn sun of Andalusia.

In the following days, the students put their theoretical knowledge into practice in working groups and took image photos for local entrepreneurs, such as apartment landlords, a massage practice, a music school and a social coach. They used the picturesque backdrop of Competa and its countless motifs for street photography and learned the art of analogue photography in a 4x5 inch large-format analogue photography course.

The highlight was the open portrait studio. All residents of Competa were invited to have their picture taken for free for the book and exhibition project ‘People of Competa’. The resulting expressive portraits are a tribute to the town and its inhabitants. They show the diversity and beauty of the people of this region as well as the talent of our photographers and will be published in a photo book in autumn 2024.
