Santiago Martinez de Septien at Competa Photo Days
My name is Santiago, Industrial Engineer by profession and amateur photographer.
Born in Burgos, Spain in Dec 1964, and living in Málaga.
Father of a numerous family, I’ve always had a fascination for photography, but it was in these last few years that I’ve discovered it deeply.
I define myself as a “weekend photographer”. I actually work as an industrial director in Andalucía, but my interest in immortalizing moments surged many years ago.
Influenced by classic photographers such as Cartier Bresson, Eliot Erwitt, Dorothea Lange, Brassai, Kenna, Ortiz de Echagüe who changed the way I see things.

Mi nombre es Santiago, Ingeniero Industrial de profesión y fotógrafo aficionado.
Nacido en Burgos, España en diciembre de 1964, y residente en Málaga.
Padre de familia numerosa, siempre he tenido fascinación por la fotografía, pero ha sido en estos últimos años cuando la he descubierto profundamente.
Me defino como un “fotógrafo de fin de semana”. De hecho, trabajo como director industrial en Andalucía, pero mi interés por inmortalizar momentos surgió hace muchos años.
Influenciado por fotógrafos clásicos como Cartier Bresson, Eliot Erwitt, Dorothea Lange, Brassai, Kenna, Ortiz de Echagüe que cambiaron mi forma de ver las cosas.
